Primary PurposeAssist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.
Qualifications- Education/Certification: Associate’s degree or two years of study (60 college hours) at an institute of higher learning or Para Professional Institute Certificate. Valid Texas educational aide certificate.

Skills:
Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics;
Ability to work well with children;
Ability to communicate effectively. - Experience: Some experience working with children.

Equipment UsedCopier, personal computer, typewriter, and audiovisual equipment.
Working ConditionsMaintain emotional control under stress. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Constant contact with students, parents and staff.
