An Ambleside Spanish Teacher has an active, personal faith in Jesus Christ along with a desire to live out their faith in the classroom. They are lifelong learners and desire to introduce and mentor their students in the Spanish language so that students can better love and serve their neighbors.

Ambleside teachers desire to have a discipling relationship with the boys and girls in their class, from Grades K-12, teaching them the habits of attention, respect, courtesy, honesty, thoroughness, accuracy, punctuality and many more. They are comfortable with a curriculum which uses few textbooks and requires teachers to master and teach their subjects with minimal educational aids and lesson guides. Recognizing that Ambleside School exists for the purpose of implementing the method of Charlotte Mason, Ambleside teachers willingly submit to Charlotte Mason's philosophy and become her students.

They eagerly seek to increase their own knowledge by reading, discussing and attending educational internships so that they might become better teachers.

In a broad sense, the teacher represents the school in and out of the classroom and acts on behalf of the school by professionally and warmly interacting with all students, parents, teachers, staff and visitors. The Spanish Teacher reports to the Head of School.

Ambleside School of Waco seeks candidates who are spiritually mature in Christ and are mature and/or actively growing in being service and other-oriented, teachable, loving towards all persons (especially children), joyful, peaceful in/under authority, psychologically strong, growth-oriented, patient, hungry to know and share knowledge, intelligent, thorough, punctual, flexible, collegial, articulate, enthusiastic, and proficient in teaching Spanish at a level appropriate to the position.

  • Introductory knowledge of Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy from Ambleside Schools International videos at whttps://amblesideschools.org/the-ambleside-difference/
  • In agreement with Ambleside School of Waco's Statement of Faith
