Your Day-to-Day Impact

As a Substitute Teacher in Waco, TX, you’ll:

• Lead classrooms by following teacher-provided lesson plans with confidence and enthusiasm

• Build a welcoming, respectful, and engaging space for all students

• Encourage participation, teamwork, and curiosity through clear communication and structure

• Supervise students throughout the day — in class, hallways, lunch, and recess

• Maintain attendance and share updates or concerns with school staff

• For long-term roles: plan and deliver lessons that align with New Frontier Public Schools academic standards

Schedule

• Availability:
  Monday–Friday

• Full Day: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

• Half Day: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM or 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM

What You Bring

• Education:
  
  Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree (required)

• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree or valid Texas Teaching Certification

• Experience:
  
  1+ year in a classroom or childcare setting (preferred)

• Skills:
  
  Strong communication, classroom management, and leadership abilities

• Attributes:
  Dependable, adaptable, and passionate about student success
