Primary

Purpose:

Assist in after-school and/or weekend in-District events, unrelated to the University Theatre program, at the University PAC. Run and operate a functioning theater and event space with state-of-the-art AV and technical theatre equipment.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Current enrollment at a Waco ISD high school campus

Must be at least 16 years of age

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions

Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Ability to be trained in theatre management

Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Assist the PAC Manager in operating a functioning theater and event space with state of the art audio visual and technical theatre equipment.

* Assist with after-school and weekend events at the University High PAC, including operating light boards, soundboards, fly rail, and projectors.

* Serve as an usher or stage crew for PAC events.

* Demonstrate ability to work with others in a positive, productive matter.

* Perform other related duties as assigned by the PAC Manager.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Maintain emotional control under stress. People intensive. Frequent interruptions. Continuous standing, stooping, walking, climbing stairs / ladders, bending, pushing and pulling, grasping, squeezing, twisting, reaching (including overhead), must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
