Position: Agriculture Mechanics Science Instructor (Two Teacher Department) AREA 8 (2026-2027)
Qualifications (Education/Certifications):

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent wage-earning experience as required by state certification

* Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement

* Contract:

12 month/ plus stipend

Responsibilities:

* Possess strong agriculture mechanics knowledge and skills as well as classroom and lab management.

* Strong work ethic, goal driven, team player, and passionate about delivery of course content and FFA activities.

* Organize and manage fund raisers

* Serve as advisor to local Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter, including planning and conducting leadership, citizenship, cooperative, career development, and competitive activities for students at local, district, area, and state level. Possess the commitment, interest, and execution in developing student leaders through camps, conventions, chapter, and community activities.

* Train multiple successful LDE and CDE teams.

* Engage, advise, and supervise agriculture mechanics SAE projects of students including home visits and participate in county and major stock shows.

* Participate in traveling with students to FFA events, competitions, and activities.

* Assist students with record book, application awards, and scholarships.

* Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal skills.

* School District trucks and trailers available.

* Administrative, Board, and Community support for a strong Agriculture Science program.

Comply with all district policies and administrative requirements.

Expectation to be an excellent role model for students, to impact students, and build relationships through FFA activities.

Maintain Ag facilities properly and teach students to do the same.
