Instruct courses in Visual Arts, specifically art appreciation, or other relevant courses as assigned. Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned which could include non‑traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual‑credit, blended, hyflex, and/or online courses. Other responsibilities include maintaining office hours, working across departments, and promoting and supporting the department’s mission and goals. This position reports to the Division Chair of Visual and Performing Arts.
Employee may not exceed 19.5 hours per week.
This is a security‑sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
Working ConditionsRestricted‑Sustained posture for prolonged periods; light lifting, some walking, pushing, pulling on a regular basis. Minimal hazard/exposure‑standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
BenefitsPart‑time retirement. Participation in Medicare Part A, but not Social Security (FICA).
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Art or related field.

Master of Fine Arts degree from an accredited college or university. - Experience:
At least one year of teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
