Third Future Schools will provide student elective access through DYAD Electives, a specialized experiential learning model designed to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other 21st‑century skills through hands‑on experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective‑style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment experiences.
This role is part of the DYAD program. DYAD means “two in one” and reflects the connection between classroom learning and community‑based expertise. DYAD is designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the community by bringing in individuals with real‑world knowledge and first‑hand experience to provide students with meaningful, hands‑on learning opportunities.
DYAD consultants do more than teach a class. They provide an experience through their expertise. The Foreign Language Consultant helps students build confidence, professionalism, creativity, and habits of success through age‑appropriate instruction in language skills, cultural awareness, and real‑world application.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in foreign language
- Develop and provide own curriculum aligned to the elective taught
- Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both expertise and DYAD program expectations
- Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
- Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout class periods
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
- Ensure students participate in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences
- Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
- Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction
- Use expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences
- Contribute positively to school culture and DYAD program integrity
- Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate student accomplishments through showcases, presentations, or other demonstrations
- Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in foreign language instruction
- Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
- Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning
- Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement
This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
