Instruct courses in radiologic technology. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: student advising, maintaining office hours, participating in college committees, participating in mentor‑mentee program, promoting and supporting extra‑curricular activities, participating in professional development, and working across departments to develop student communication, computation, and problem‑solving skills. Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned including face‑to‑face and non‑traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual credit, blended, and/or online courses.
This position reports to the Program Director of Radiologic Technology and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
SELECTION CRITERIA:The cover letter should address how the following knowledge, skills, and abilities were acquired:
Knowledge of: 1. Radiologic technology principles, radiographic procedures, image evaluation, radiation protection, patient care, and related clinical practices;
2. Instructional methods, learning theories, and student‑centered teaching practices applicable to Radiologic Technology education;
3. Curriculum development, revision, assessment, and alignment with program and institutional learning outcomes;
4. Accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and professional standards applicable to Radiologic Technology education and clinical practice;
5. Current trends, technologies, and emerging practices in Radiologic Technology and healthcare;
6. Instructional materials, equipment, technology, and resources required to support classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction; 7. ADA requirements and accessibility practices as they apply to instruction and student learning.
Skills in: 8. Organization, time management, and prioritization to effectively balance teaching, service, professional development, and other faculty responsibilities;
9. Effective use of instructional technology, learning management systems, and other educational resources; 10. Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, clinical partners, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Ability to: 11. Develop, deliver, and evaluate engaging, student‑centered instruction in Radiologic Technology courses; 12. Translate complex radiologic concepts, procedures, and technical information into clear and effective instruction; 13. Assess student learning, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction to meet diverse student learning needs; 14.
