The Controls Engineer at Fallas Automation is responsible for programming PLCs, configuring HMIs, and supporting machine start-up. This role works closely with the Electrical and Mechanical teams to ensure successful machine functionality and integration.

Key Responsibilities:- Design and program PLC and HMI systems for case packing equipment.
- Collaborate with electrical designers to ensure proper hardware selection.
- Perform FAT testing, debug programs, and support field startups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues during production.
- Document control logic and create user manuals and IO lists.
- Maintain version control and software backups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PLC and HMI programming.
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and Panel View HMIs.
- Strong understanding of sensors, servos, and VFDs.
Skills:
- Experience in packaging or OEM machinery.
- Familiarity with Factory Talk View and Ethernet/IP networking.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable with occasional travel for machine startups.
