Position Scope and Organizational ImpactThe primary focus for Moss’ Safety Technician II position is to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Moss Solar’s EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements within an assigned project.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports EHS functions on a project site.
- Supports the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs, compliance plans, and initiatives on the assigned site.
- Supports and leads by influence and strategic partnership with project and construction team on the assigned site.
- Keeps safety credentials current.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related risks.
- Knowledge of record‑keeping principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or 1 year of experience in a safety related field.
- Must have knowledge of OSHA/industrial safety compliance and DOT/DOL/EPA regulation as they relate to the power generation industry.
- Professional certification/License (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire): CHST/OHST, ASP, CSP.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Moss standards (required to drive company vehicles if/when assigned).
- Effective communication to coach and communicate safety protocols.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Effective organization and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.
- Execute priorities and ask clarifying questions.
- Learning mindset, coachable and adopts new learnings and feedback.
- Attention to detail, grit, reliability.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams and trades on site.
Job Title: Safety Technician II
Location: Florida, Texas, Colorado – Multi‑state (requires 100% travel)
Classification: Full time – Exempt – Salaried
Reports To: Solar Safety Manager
