We are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Waco. This role is essential in optimizing and managing the manufacturing processes for pulp and paper products. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation of chemical plant equipment and enhancing overall production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, plan, and control manufacturing processes for pulp and paper production.
  • Maintain and operate chemical production equipment, including condensers, towers, columns, and stills.
  • Coordinate maintenance and operations of equipment used in mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation, and other processes.
  • Contribute to the design and planning of plant equipment and processes under supervision.
  • Support process improvement projects, including mechanical enhancements and new technology investigations.
  • Promote and ensure best practices in safe operations and compliance with safety standards.
  • Execute tests to evaluate potential process changes and recommend improvements.
  • Research and coordinate product trials, evaluate process equipment, and assist in procurement decisions.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and training manuals.
  • Provide engineering support across various departments as required.
  • Contribute to achieving goals in safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, and productivity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Science, or related field with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in paper manufacturing is essential.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills are required.
  • Experience in environmental aspects within the pulp and paper industry is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated capacity for managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and under deadline pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and direct operations.
