Project Engineer (PE) – SEIT IPT LEAD
A growing organization in Waco, TX is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) – SEIT IPT LEAD to support the execution of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on airborne platforms. The Project Engineer serves as the technical lead for the IPT and provides direction to Systems, Software, Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Specialty, and Logistics Engineering teams to ensure successful design, integration, and delivery of airborne platform capabilities.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on engineering experience leading design, integration, and test activities for complex airborne systems; program management or oversight experience without direct engineering design integration experience is not sufficient. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the program technical development is performed to meet all technical, cost, and schedule requirements and that the final design meets all customer requirements.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Lead the technical execution of system design, integration, verification, validation, and test activities across complex airborne platform programs.
- Drive cross-functional engineering teams through requirements development, design trades, subsystem integration, technical reviews, and test events.
- Resolve technical integration challenges across Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, and Test Engineering disciplines.
- Planning and execution of program activities
- Manage engineering scope, schedule, cost, and technical performance for IPT content using EVMS or similar program management processes.
- Risk identification and management
- Customer and Senior Leadership interaction
- Overall program coordination during the program lifecycle
