Waco Family Medicine Summer Internship Program (Paid) - Finance
Job Summary
Waco Family Medicine (WFM), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), offers a paid Summer Internship Program for students and recent graduates interested in healthcare, nonprofit, and community-focused work. Interns contribute to meaningful projects, receive mentorship, and learn how a mission-driven organization serves underserved communities.
Internship dates: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026
Work format: Varies by department and role

Essential Functions
Interns may be assigned to one or more tracks:
Finance
Support a defined financial planning and analysis (FP&A) project under Finance leadership. [Finance wi...escription Word], [Finance wi...cription 1 Word]
Prepare and refine reports/analyses using Excel and Microsoft Office. [Finance wi...escription Word], [Finance wi...cription 1 Word]

Gain exposure to related areas through rotations or project work (examples may include grants, accounting, compensation/benefits, or marketing/communications). [Finance wi...cription 1 Word]

Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program or a recent graduate.
- Strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and follow confidentiality expectations.
Finance: Excel or interest in financial analysis/reporting.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Visual and auditory accuracy
- Shift length - 8 hours
- Indoor setting
- Continuous use of computer and calculator
- Long periods of sitting
- Frequent use of telephone
- Continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands
- Continuous conversational communication
- Occasional reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbing
- Occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally working in confined, noisy, dusty areas
- Frequent use of personal car
- Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions
- Memorize and retain instructions
- Read and interpret detailed specifications
