Job SummaryThe Safety Specialist helps keep the workplace safe. This person checks safety rules, does audits, investigates incidents, and supports managers and employees with safety training.
Responsibilities- Conduct safety audits and inspections
- Report safety risks and compliance issues
- Maintain safety paperwork and records
- Train employees and managers on safety rules
- Support fire prevention and hazardous waste programs if needed
- Assist with safety process improvements
- 1+ year EHS experience or related degree
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Able to stay calm in stressful situations
- Available to work night shift
- Experience in warehouse or industrial setting
