Role Overview
The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients under the supervision of a Radiologist, assisting in diagnosing diseases and injuries.
Responsibilities include executing high-quality MRI scans following protocols, communicating effectively with patients using AIDET, and preparing patients and equipment for procedures.
They ensure safety and infection control standards, maintain equipment and work areas, and manage documentation and imaging records in compliance with policies.
The role involves collaborating with engineers to optimize equipment, maintaining supplies, and screening individuals for safety before procedures.
KeySkills & Qualifications
Must be capable of delivering accurate, timely, and cost-efficient MRI services while adhering to regulatory standards.
Candidates should confidently explain procedures, maintain professionalism, and handle stressful situations calmly.
They should provide excellent patient care, support new team members as preceptors, and be able to take call if needed.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, certification in MRI from recognized agencies (ARRT-MR, ARMRIT), and BLS certification.
Less than one year of experience is acceptable, with a focus on continuous education and skills development across diverse age groups.
