Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Enterprise Solution roadmap reflective of Texas Farm Bureau’s organizational vision, goals, and objectives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITYAssist Application and Technology Architects, Specialists, and teams in the architecture and design of comprehensive business solutions.
Provide support for team’s technical responsibilities for development and technology projects throughout the systems development lifecycle.
Assist supervisors in recruitment and development of technical talent. Work with supervisors to improve employees’ knowledge and skills for future organization growth. Support and guide employees to be empowered and productive.
Collaborate with suppliers on organizational architecture adhering to industry best practices.
Work closely with Security and Compliance, Governance, Solution Delivery, and Support teams to communicate project priority and plans and assist in establishing and maintaining the overall IS roadmap.
Participate in IS budget process including setting objectives, cost estimates, and resource needs yearly based on collaboration with Executive Leadership, Business Units, Project Management Office, and Information Systems.
Work closely with IS Security and Compliance, Governance, Project Management Office, and Business Units on facilitation of shared governance, security, and risk compliance responsibilities. Help facilitate cross-company communication through value stream and other project status meetings.
Participate in enterprise initiatives to recommend new tools, technologies, and processes.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICIATIONSAt least one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technology-related field and substantial experience in a technology-related role, preferably with a property and casualty insurance company or other financial institution.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technology-related field and extensive experience in a technology-related role, preferably with a property and casualty insurance company or other financial institution.
Architect/specialist experience preferred.
Demonstrate knowledge of system development lifecycle and agile development industry best practices. Related certifications like TOGAF are a bonus.
Technical knowledge in the areas of data management (SQL, Databricks, etc.), development tools (Java, .Net, etc.), work management tools (ADO, Jira), release and testing automation (IaC, Terraform), and reporting (Power BI, Fabric).
Experience with insurance-based systems, such as Guidewire, and the broad offering of services from cloud providers like Azure (preferable) and AWS.
Must possess independent judgment and decision‑making skills required to analyze complicated factual situations, apply sound principles, and develop solutions.
Ability to keep abreast of changing regulations, policies, and procedures that may affect the Information Systems architecture.
Ability to maintain a long‑term strategic focus while working on short‑term tactical goals.
Solid business and technical understanding of insurance‑based applications, networks, endpoints, servers, mainframes, and databases.
Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Strong project management, interpersonal, relationship building, collaboration, and influencing skills.
Proven track record of working with project teams in successfully managing and implementing architecture and solutions, including maintaining scope, cost, and schedule.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to interface, influence, and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business colleagues at all levels.
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator status under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.

Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and reaching in an office environment.
WORKING CONDITIONSOccasional long, irregular hours.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
Provide after hours problem resolution when required.
Travel as required.
