This position is responsible for Sec Ops functions appropriate for the Technician Intern level. This requires the ability to learn and perform one or more of the following functional areas:

Job Scheduling Operations
  • Scheduling and integrating jobs
  • Application controls
  • Balancing and distribution of data
Security Access Operations
  • Providing appropriate Data and User Security Access
  • Controlling, maintaining, and monitoring security access to the computer infrastructure and data repositories
Mainframe and Associated Systems Operations
  • Running and monitoring applications
  • Detecting application malfunctions and providing appropriate notifications
Code Migration Operations
  • Production path migration management
  • Test environment availability and readiness management
  • Code migration processes
Testing Operations
  • System test management and execution
  • Script and script catalog maintenance
  • Integration of testing with migrations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

Learn to effectively use software tools to accomplish assigned tasks.

Learn to effectively use the functionality of PC, Mainframe and Web applications and tools to perform job responsibilities.

Assist in researching and resolving problems with applicable software.

Assist in researching, evaluating, developing and deploying operational solutions to meet business needs.

Assist in providing training to end users, when appropriate.

Assist in communicating with vendors and users for problem resolution, as needed.

Assist in creating and estimating task lists.

Update and resolve Helpdesk incidents/requests per established procedures.

Escalate problems to appropriate personnel, as needed.

Report status on assigned tasks.

Other duties as assigned.

Pursuing an Associate degree or above from an accredited school.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Good organizational skills.

Good problem-solving abilities.

Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.

Ability to interact with customers as well as peers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs. without assistance.

Repeated use of PC, telephone, printers and any other office machines.

Extended periods of sitting and concentration.

Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and reaching in office environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Occasionally work long, irregular hours.

Provide after-hours problem resolution, when required.

Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.

Travel, as required.
