Salary: $80,000 Annually
We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Assistant General Manager to help lead operations within a high‑volume, full‑service restaurant. This role plays an essential part in daily execution, team leadership, and guest satisfaction. The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in driving operational consistency, strengthening team performance, and maintaining service and quality standards across all shifts.
You will serve as a leader on the floor, guiding staff, reinforcing training standards, and helping create an environment where employees and guests alike feel welcomed and valued.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Recruitment & Training: Oversees hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members to build a reliable and effective staff.
- Scheduling & Labor Control: Creates and manages staff schedules while balancing coverage needs and labor targets.
- Coaching & Feedback: Provides regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews to support employee growth.
- Employee Relations: Addresses disciplinary matters appropriately and consistently in accordance with company policies.
- Operations Management: Monitors food preparation and service procedures to ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
- Guest Satisfaction: Maintains high service standards and resolves guest concerns professionally and promptly.
- Problem Resolution: Handles guest complaints with professionalism, focusing on retention and positive outcomes.
- Compliance: Follows all applicable health, safety, and alcohol service regulations and local requirements.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Assists with food and beverage cost tracking, ordering, and inventory management.
- Facility Oversight: Performs daily walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, equipment functionality, and safety conditions; coordinates maintenance as needed.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintains accurate records including sales tracking, cash handling, and operational reporting.
- Team Support: Completes additional responsibilities as needed to support business operations.
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience.
- Strong communication and guest service skills.
- Effective organization and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic office software.
