Restaurant Assistant Manager
Salary Range: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 Annually (Plus Bonus Potential)
Location: Waco, Texas
Position OverviewWe are seeking a results-oriented Restaurant Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations and drive excellence within our high-volume dining establishment. Under the strategic guidance of the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of hospitality.
This role requires a leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing strict adherence to health and safety protocols with the soft skills necessary to inspire a winning team.
Key Deliverables & Responsibilities Operational Leadership- Direct daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure seamless execution of service.
- Supervise food preparation processes, rigorously enforcing health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Conduct daily facility and equipment inspections to maintain operational readiness; schedule maintenance and repairs proactively to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations and local ordinances.
- Train and mentor staff, providing the tools and support necessary for professional growth.
- Monitor staff scheduling compliance and evaluate overall performance metrics.
- Execute timely and constructive disciplinary or coaching sessions to address performance gaps.
- Manage employee lifecycle events, including discipline and termination, in strict accordance with company policy.
- Guarantee customer satisfaction across all touchpoints of the dining experience.
- Resolve guest complaints with diplomacy and professionalism, turning potential negatives into opportunities for loyalty.
- Leadership: Strong supervisory capabilities with a proven track record of leading teams.
- Operational Acumen: Deep familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and restaurant guidelines.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a solution-focused approach to customer service.
- Organization: Superior time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and modern POS/restaurant management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous restaurant experience is mandatory; prior management experience is highly preferred.
- Must successfully complete the corporate training program upon hire.
