Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $57,300.00 - $95,600.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 10 % based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program, which are subject to change.

Position DetailsAs a Store Manager, you will manage all service related and operational goals for a specific branch (store). You will ensure execution of the Branch Network strategic vision and goals through demonstrated leadership in the areas of talent excellence, service, and cost to serve. You will report to the Manager, Branch Network or Sr District Manager.
You Will- Business Leadership
- Translate leadership and strategic direction for hourly branch team members.
- Communicate and execute a sound business strategy to team members that embraces change management.
- Make sound, fact-based business decisions to support the needs and objectives of the business.
- Lead the team to become the customer’s first choice for the products and services they need to keep their workplaces safe, efficient, and functioning.
- Build strong internal and external partnerships to facilitate success and embed our branch locations and technical expertise as critical value triggers for our customers.
- Takes measured risks while managing service, cost, ethics and integrity.
- Operational Excellence
- Balance operating expenses with higher level of service, while improving processes and removing non-value added activities.
- Work with market leaders to identify potential solutions for growing counter and will-call volume.
- Implement proper staffing strategies to ensure flexibility with the proper mix of FT and PT team members.
- Effectively monitor controllable expenses to achieve the assigned expense target.
- Build a continuous improvement culture by promoting CI methodologies and supporting implementation of projects.
- Lead a branch that proudly represents Grainger’s service and commitment to customers and team members.
- Maintain safety and security for all team members and customers.
- Ensure the branch, surrounding landscape, and parking areas are properly maintained and comply with all laws and company policies.
- Talent Management
- Create an environment where team members are engaged, empowered, enthusiastic, and committed to the company’s success.
- Facilitate open, continuous, proactive communication and diverse ideas.
- Support, write, and conduct performance review discussions to ensure expectations and goals are set, monitored and executed.
- Coach the growth and development of branch team members.
- Ensure key drivers of Selection, On-boarding, Coaching, and Rewards & Recognition are executed and support engagement.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience – Preferred
- 1+ years leadership experience – Required
- Demonstrated ability to implement initiatives, manage projects and demonstrate change leadership.
- Effective project management, planning and facilitation skills.
- Effective time-management skills.
- Demonstrated influence and persuasion of varying levels of internal and external decision-makers.
