Victim Services Supervisor
Minimum Starting Salary: $29.9983 per hour

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Social Work, Psychology or a related field AND
- Four (4) years experience in human services or a related setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Criminal Justice Experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Required:
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
Position Description
Under basic supervision, manages operations and staff of the Victim Services work group for the Waco Police Department (WPD); assures compliance with state laws and regulations.
Essential Functions
- Manages operations of the Victim Services work group; assures that appropriate services are provided and work is performed in compliance with state laws, City policies and WPD quality standards; interprets policies and procedures governing the confidentiality requirements and release of public records and information.
- Provides ongoing assistance, crisis counseling and follow-up to the victims of crimes; provides crisis intervention and coordinates special events; addresses community organizations and advocate groups to explain the goals of the Victim Services program.
- Supervises, trains and monitors staff; reviews work performed and assures that quality standards are met; meets regularly with staff to discuss and resolve technical issues, workload and records system integrity.
- Reviews work group activities, records and files and prepares summary and status reports.
- May be required to respond after hours, including holidays and weekends, in the event of a departmental or City-wide emergency.
- Operates a City vehicle to safely transport people, equipment, and materials between city offices and other locations in and around the city.
