Departmental Team Lead is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in overseeing the operation of all EHS functions within any Waco Facility, involving departments such as Welding, Buffing, Core & Coil Assembly, Winding, Lacing, Tanking, Testing, Paint – Primer, Paint – Final, and Final Finish.

Reports to:
EHS Manager
- Q = Highest Quality To Our Customers
- L = Shortest Lead Time To Our Customers
- D = Best On-Time Delivery To Our Customers
- Top Notch 5S in each Department (Clean, Organized, Neat, Straight, Shine, etc.)
- Daily on-site attendance.
- Ensure that team members follow defined EHS procedures and comply with quality & safety requirements.
- Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example so that each team member understands the expected standards and behaviors.
- Work with the EHS Manager to ensure all records are completed appropriately.
- Identify and properly handle non-conformance issues, keeping the EHS Manager informed.
- Report any quality or safety concerns to the EHS Manager so they can be communicated to the entire business.
- Assist the EHS Manager in ensuring the team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.
- Train operators on products and processes within the department.
- Collaborate with the EHS Manager on daily management and support the team to meet operational goals.
- Monitor task completion and ensure good performance within Net Suite.
- Facilitate communication with other departments to maintain effective collaboration.
- Provide feedback to management to share ideas and improve operations, recommending and implementing continuous improvement activities to optimize results and improve quality delivery.
- Provide technical expertise to the team.
- Understands that top priorities are:
Cross Training, Highest Quality, Shortest Lead Time, Best On-Time Delivery, and Top Notch 5S. - Each team lead must be accountable to the top five priorities.
- Each team lead must have leadership traits and ownership of their respective teams.
- Communication proficiency.
- Problem solving/analysis within their department.

- Technical capacity.
- Customer-driven.
- Believes in overt communication rather than under-communication.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours. Shift variations occur based on department needs. Employees may be required to work occasional longer days and weekends to meet operational demands.
