OpportunityTaylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator I to join our production team in Waco, TX. This entry‑level role is responsible for operating printing and finishing equipment, supporting production flow, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Work AuthorizationTo be considered for employment at Taylor Corporation, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities- Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal output.
- Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
- Check paper for correct type, size, color, and quantity.
- Check plates for correct format.
- Visually inspect forms throughout the run to ensure quality.
- Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadline changes.
- Maintain knowledge of safety requirements related to the job and equipment.
Monday - Friday | 2:00pm-8:00pm (PART TIME)
Required Skills- Ability to set adjustable mechanisms to required tolerances.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude.
- Good reading ability.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
- Constantly operate machinery and handle products, including print materials.
- Frequently required to move throughout the facility.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry 25+ pounds.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work with very close tolerances.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
- Strong analytical skills.
