CNC Operator Position Summary
This is a full time, onsite role based in Central Texas, approximately 40 minutes east of Waco. The position is designed for an experienced CNC Operator who thrives in a production driven machining environment. This is not a dedicated programming role. The focus is on setup, operation, minor machine side edits, and maintaining tight tolerances on high quality components.
The facility operates a wide range of advanced equipment including YCM vertical mills, Haas CNC lathes, Mori Seiki CNC lathes, horizontal lathes with milling capability, Y axis and sub spindle lathes, 3 to 5 axis vertical mills, 3 axis horizontal mills, horizontal boring mills, and plasma tables.
Controls include Fanuc and Haas. The shop utilizes Autodesk Fusion 360 for CAD and CAM, with JobBOSS as its ERP system. Materials commonly machined include aluminum, brass, copper, and plastics.
This opportunity is ideal for a machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands blueprint interpretation, and is comfortable working independently in a structured, ISO driven environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Operate CNC lathes and vertical and horizontal mills for production and short run jobs
- Perform minor program edits and machine adjustments at the control
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerance accuracy
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area while following shop procedures
- Strong hands on experience operating CNC lathes and 3 to 5 axis mills
- Proficiency reading blueprints and holding tight tolerances
- Skilled use of calipers, micrometers, and precision inspection equipment
- Preferred 5 to 10 years of CNC machining experience
- Background in CNC Machining or Tool and Die strongly preferred
- Experience with Fusion 360 for CAM and CAD
- Experience with Fanuc and Haas controls
- Programming exposure to plasma and multi axis equipment including horizontal boring mills and Y axis lathes
- Experience machining aluminum, brass, and plastics
- Familiarity with JobBOSS ERP system preferred
- Must supply personal measuring tools
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to onsite Central Texas facility
Onsite role in Central Texas, approximately 40 minutes east of Waco. This is a shop floor position. Remote work is not available.
CompensationHourly pay range: $22.00 to $23.50 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, skill level, and machine proficiency.
