Position: Printing Press Operator
Location: Waco, TX
Pay Rate: $21.10 per hour
Shift: Rotating Shifts – 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotates every four weeks)
Summary DescriptionThe Printing Press Operator I supports printing operations by assisting with press setup, monitoring print quality, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring the safe production of high‑quality finished products.
What You’ll Be Doing- Set up printing presses for production runs.
- Follow company printing procedures and guidelines.
- Assist in setting up jobs and monitor print quality during production runs.
- Communicate job‑related issues and updates with Press Operator III or IV on shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines, equipment, and surrounding work area.
- Continuously inspect products for visual defects and apply corrective actions as needed.
- Refer complex issues to Printing Operator II or III for support.
- Follow sanitation procedures and complete sanitation checklists.
- Follow GMPs, PRPs, and production SOPs.
- Follow all plant safety requirements.
- Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Can lift up to 50pounds and frequently carry up to 30pounds.
- Can perform repetitive hand, finger, and wrist movements.
- Can bend, twist, reach, and stand for 8–12 hours per shift.
- Have critical thinking skills for machine setup and operation.
- Can safely operate production equipment.
- Can work continuously in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
- Can maintain high quality standards.
- Can read and understand manufacturing instructions.
- Have strong attention to detail, initiative, and organization skills.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Vision, sense of touch, ability to wear PPE including hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and hair net.
Work EnvironmentIndoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to heat, cold, noise, and moving machinery and equipment.
Additional Requirements- Must be willing to work overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
