Overview

Electrolit Manufacturing USA (EMUSA) is a new, state‑of‑the‑art beverage manufacturing facility in Waco, TX. The 640,000 sqft facility is located in the Texas Central Industrial Park and will operate on a 24/7 schedule. The facility will manufacture and distribute 26 flavors of Electrolit® – the fastest growing isotonic hydration beverage in the US.

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Safety Coordinator is to oversee the development, compliance, and adherence to the company’s safety and security programs. This position will handle sensitive information and therefore requires an NDA. The Safety Coordinator reports to the Environment Health & Safety Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the safety and security programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment in adherence to OSHA regulations. Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to implement compliant job‑specific and company‑wide training and safety awareness programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of safety and security programs.
  • Submit recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program, including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management through periodic safety audits and assessments.
  • Prohibit operations and activities that could harm staff or equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems. Present potential solutions to the EH&S Manager.
  • Share environmental safety information with appropriate levels in the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Other duties as indicated by management.
Job Efficiency Measures

Job performance will be assessed using measurable metrics, which may include but are not limited to:

  • Production output and throughput targets.
  • Accuracy and quality rates.
  • Adherence to safety, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Equipment uptime, utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • On‑time completion and schedule adherence.
  • Participation in and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Environmental Health, Quality Assurance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of one to three (13) years’ experience in a related position required.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred but not required.
  • Fluency in English is a must;
    Spanish a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position is primarily performed in an office environment during standard business hours. The role involves regular use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light physical activity may be required.

The employee may occasionally be required to lift or move items weighing up to 15 pounds. Employees in this role may have occasional exposure to the manufacturing and production environment, including noise, moving equipment, temperature variations, and wet or humid conditions. When entering production areas, appropriate PPE must be worn in accordance with company policy. Noise levels in the primary office environment are typically low to moderate.

Work schedules may include extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and/or holidays based on production demands.
