Summary
Absence of any related duties or functions in this document does not imply that incumbent may be exempt from assignments required to support production. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure raw product meets specification prior to being processed for its assigned use.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Monitor and document HACCP and SSOPs.
- Monitor and document GMPs.
- Calibrate scales daily.
- Conduct appropriate quality checks and rechecks as specified by the type of raw product.
- Perform metal detector checks to identify foreign material.
- Perform verification on finished product, packaging and labeling.
- Calculate ratios and defect percentages.
- Communicate with supervisors upon discovery of out-of-specification products, and follow established procedure for handling such products.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.
Education and/or
Experience:
less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic math and computer skills required.
License and Certification
Required:
Employee must pass a math test.
Training Requirements:
All employees are required to attend employee and safety orientation prior to performing duties. Training includes basic principles of HACCP, SSOP, and GMP. New employees receive a training buddy and further orientation from a supervisor.
