Senior Low Voltage Network Engineer – Waco, TX

Join Next Level Technician as a Senior Low Voltage Network Engineer in Waco, Texas! Earn $40–$65/hr (average Texas market range depending on experience), enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing.

Responsibilities
  • Design, install, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise-level low voltage network systems
  • Configure and support LAN/WAN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, and support structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure
  • Program and support networked access control and CCTV systems as needed
  • Read and interpret network drawings, low voltage schematics, and as-built documentation
  • Perform network testing, certification, and performance optimization
  • Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights and commercial environments)
  • Support additional low voltage systems in commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, data centers, etc.)
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians in the field
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in low voltage networking, infrastructure, or network engineering
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching
  • Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Juniper, or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic systems
  • Experience with access control and CCTV integration is a plus
  • Programming and commissioning experience in networked systems preferred
  • Manufacturer certifications, BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus
  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within Texas as needed
