Bandsaw Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in heavy fabrication and metalworking, is seeking a dedicated Bandsaw Operator to join their team. As a Bandsaw Operator, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting the shop floor operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

• Set up and operate horizontal or vertical bandsaws to cut raw metals, steel bars, and components to precise specifications.
• Review and interpret engineering blueprints, work orders, and cut lists to ensure accurate cuts.
• Inspect raw materials and finished parts for quality, surface defects, and dimensional accuracy using precision tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including blade changes, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines, utilize PPE, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• 1–3 years of experience operating industrial sawing machinery in a manufacturing or heavy fabrication environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" and work accurately with fractions and decimals.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with operating overhead hoists, jib cranes, and forklifts for material handling.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and quality standards.
