We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to own and execute the master production schedule within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for translating customer demand and production requirements into achievable weekly and daily schedules while balancing labor, equipment capacity, material availability, and delivery commitments.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand, capacity, materials, and customer requirements.
- Translate forecasts, orders, and production requirements into weekly and daily manufacturing schedules.
- Balance production demand against labor, machine capacity, material availability, and lead times.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, material shortages, and production bottlenecks before they impact customer delivery.
- Adjust schedules based on production performance, changing priorities, material availability, and customer needs.
- Partner closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials, and Operations to keep schedules achievable and aligned.
- Support decisions around overtime, shift coverage, production sequencing, and capacity needs.
- Track schedule attainment and proactively address issues affecting on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data within the company's ERP/MRP system.
- Drive continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy, production flow, and overall schedule performance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in master scheduling, production scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing planning.
- Strong understanding of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, production planning, and material requirements.
- Experience scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and make schedule adjustments in a fast-paced operation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify capacity constraints and production risks.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with production and supply chain teams.
Ideal Background
