Job Description

The Director/Senior Director of Development Operations reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Revenue. This position plays a vital role within Baylor Athletics and the Bear Foundation, overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of premium seating stewardship, donor communications, and philanthropic support planning. The role is responsible for developing strategic donor engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships, enhance stewardship efforts, and support the long‑term philanthropic growth of Baylor Athletics.

A bachelor's degree, two years of relevant professional experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A master's degree is preferred. Relevant experience will not be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. Applicants must be authorized to work full‑time in the United States.

Required Qualifications

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Paciolan ticketing software
  • Experience managing donor events and stewardship initiatives
  • Proven success in developing and executing strategic philanthropic campaigns
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with donors and stakeholders
  • Experience with gift processing and donor database management
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools
  • Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and Eloqua
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Bear Foundation, ticket sales, and ticket operations teams to develop and execute donor communication strategies
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Bear Foundation marketing and communication initiatives
  • Manage gift processing operations and streamline operations
  • Create and manage social media and digital engagement strategies for Bear Foundation platforms
  • Serve as a liaison for Paciolan, specifically supporting the Bear Foundation's premium seating operations
  • Lead operations and customer service initiatives during football and basketball game days, with a focus on donor relations and premium experiences
  • Develop, organize, and enhance sport‑specific giving programs
  • Manage stewardship and engagement initiatives for the 'Big Wheel' donor program
  • Develop and execute comprehensive donor stewardship plans to increase donor retention and long‑term engagement
  • Coordinate premium hospitality experiences, donor recognition initiatives, and special event programming
  • Identify donor cultivation, upgrade, and engagement opportunities

    Assist with capital campaigns, annual fund initiatives, as needed
  • Produce donor impact reports, campaign updates, and stewardship communications for internal and external audiences
  • Analyze donor trends, ticketing data, and engagement metrics to support strategic planning and decision‑making
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and creative teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across donor engagement efforts
  • Maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with alumni, donors, former student‑athletes, and external stakeholders
  • Assist with budget planning and expense management related to donor engagement activities and hospitality initiatives
  • Prioritize and complete projects in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and timelines
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve donor engagement programs and operations
