Work Schedule:
8-20 hours per week. Daily start times and workdays will be discussed and established based on the applicant's availability and WHR's needs. Typically these are M-F between 8:00 am-5:00 pm and possibly Saturdays.
Desired Length of Employment:
Fall and Ongoing
Pay Rate: $12.00/hr
Key Components:
- In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to jump in and help out. We need an individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to organize, a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and can be trusted to work to complete assigned tasks without being micromanaged. General
Qualifications:
Ability to educate visitors of all ages about the realities of our food system and sustainable agricultural alternatives and assist the community engagement coordinator in developing and executing educational activities. Must be able to work alongside a team as well as facilitate volunteer and group learning experiences. Previous office and educational experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to sustain extended periods of time working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs routinely.
Essential Functions:
Administrative duties Clean/organize facilities Farmers Market preparation and staffing Customer service and group orientation Urban Homestead Garden care Supporting community outreach and educational programs on-farm and in the community Educate, instruct, orient, train, and inspire volunteers and clients in the realm of composting, sustainable agriculture, hunger alleviation, and food justice Compost pickups and sorting as needed Run various routine errands, as required, for the farm Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Learning Outcomes:
