Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit position in Texas, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and cardiovascular/vascular nursing background.

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — both must be AHA-issued
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Cardiovascular and vascular stepdown experience required
• Social Security Number (SSN) and US address required
• Driver's License copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• 30-bed Stepdown Unit in a hospital cardiovascular service line
• Cardiovascular and vascular patient population including post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA, NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy patients
• Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, and stable GTT management required in this role
• Pacer management and POD#1 post-surgical cardiac care are part of the patient caseload
• Day shift: 8:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Floating required within the Critical Care service line
• 13-week contract
• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to cardiovascular and vascular surgical patients, including post-op CABG, valve repair/replacement, and vascular procedures
• Manage patients requiring HFNC, BiPAP, and stable drip titration (GTT)
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
