Job Overview

Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel position in Waco, Texas.

Start date:

06/29/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Travel assignment with Med Pro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency.

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in an acute care PCU/step‑down setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.

• Assess patient needs, signs, and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Document the patient’s plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
• Initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education.
• Revise and document the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in the medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
