Overview
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/LPN, PRN Home Health.
Location:
Waco, TX. Coverage Area:
Waco, TX and surrounding. Remote/Virtual Position: NO.
Position: PRN LVN. Position Type: PRN. Salary: $36.00 to $42.00 per hour.
Schedule:
PRN M-F 8 to 5 and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities- Performs technical nursing functions and direct patient care consistent with the established plan of care and under the supervision of an RN.
- Promotes and maintains optimal client care under the supervision of an RN.
- Maintains a safe patient environment.
- Identifies and communicates significant abnormalities in patient data to case manager and other appropriate home health team members.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by law. Assesses all medicines a client may be taking to identify possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies, contraindicated medications and reports any problems to the physician.
- Re-evaluates client’s nursing needs and reports findings to Case Manager.
- Counsels and instructs the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
- Prepares clinical and progress notes.
- Submits all documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy.
- Documentation on patients chart correlates with nursing care plan.
- Communicates frequently and works closely with other home care team members.
- Assists in coordinating services provided to client.
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Currently Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas (state of agency operation).
- One year of LVN/LPN work experience.
- Ability to provide nursing visits according to treatment prescribed by the physician and maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role.
- Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
