American Traveler is hiring an RN for a 13-week Med/Surg (Ortho/Neuro) position requiring 2 years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work on a 15-bed Ortho/Neuro nursing unit
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while coordinating with all disciplines for well-coordinated care
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment using critical thinking and decisive judgment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Radius rule applies which may affect eligibility for travel pay rate depending on distance from facility
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under the facility's radius rule

Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
