Job Description
Noonday Gardens is a boutique fine gardening design and plant‑care company specializing in artistic garden styling, curated botanical beds, and premium indoor/outdoor plant maintenance.
We’re not a traditional lawn care or commercial maintenance crew — no mowing, weed‑eating, or generic installs. We create and maintain beautiful, design‑forward plant environments for clients who value excellence.
Please note before applying: this position requires a solid baseline of hands‑on plant knowledge and prior experience leading a team. Traditional commercial mowing, weed‑eating, or basic lawn care experience alone does not qualify for this role.
Our values are authentic relationship, appreciative attentiveness, and unlocked imagination. At Noonday, we work in such a way that is restorative for everyone involved. If you love plants, design, leadership, and meaningful work, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)- Lead and inspire a crew to complete fine gardening and styling projects efficiently and with mutual respect.
- Oversee the quality control of artistic garden beds, seasonal displays, and high‑end container arrangements.
- Manage premium plant care — utilizing your knowledge of proper pruning, watering schedules, fertilizing, and health monitoring.
- Maintain client satisfaction on‑site by being a professional, knowledgeable face of the Noonday brand.
- Safely handle materials and equipment (lifting up to 50 lbs) and drive to various work sites in Waco (valid driver’s license required). Trailer‑driving skills are a big plus.
- Proven baseline of plant knowledge: At least 1–2 years of experience in a plant nursery, professional greenhouse work, in fine gardening, or you’re a serious, knowledgeable hobbyist who knows their plants, soil, and proper care. (You don't need a degree, but you must know your plants!)
- Leadership capability: Prior experience managing a crew, leading projects, or a highly developed natural ability to organize people and keep schedules on track.
- Physical stamina: A love for the outdoors and the ability to work hands‑on in the Texas heat.
- The Basics: A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- An eye for design, attention to detail
, and basic computer skills (for simple on‑site bidding or design tasks) are a plus.
- Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 / hour (Depending on experience)
- Job Type: Full‑time / Part‑time
