Position Overview
Plant Quality Manager II reporting to the Director of Quality – Flexibles. Responsible for leading the plant’s quality systems, ensuring adherence to corporate standards, managing quality staff and laboratory personnel, training, improvement initiatives, product safety, and customer interactions.
Location:
Waco, TX – onsite.
Lead hands‑on management of the Quality Management System elements, including quality action plans, root cause analysis, corrective actions, supplier quality management, customer complaints, standard work, audit processes, standard procedures, test methods, and process controls.
Ensure Business Unit systems are aligned with division standards through reviews and audits.
Manage all change control and line validation activities.
Generate scorecards and reports covering VOC, CARs, SCARs, COAs, on‑time and in‑full deliveries, SPC reporting, losses, product safety, internal, third‑party and customer audits, and change control processes.
Oversee the food safety team, ensuring training, education, and continuous improvement of the food safety management system; report effectiveness to top management.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including SPS QM pillar engagement and sub‑team activity.
Act independently on customer interactions related to product or service quality.
Participate in cross‑divisional teams or audits as needed.
Qualifications- 4‑year degree
- 3‑5 years experience in a manufacturing related role
- Analytical skills and statistical analysis proficiency
- Green belt certification
- Leadership experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel, and statistical software
