Student Associate - Summer Worker; Manufacturing

The TOPPAN internship program is designed to “test the waters” of working in the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset.

Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. The internship is a step toward joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation. This is an onsite position based out of our Waco, Texas facility.

• Attend quality gemba walks to monitor the quality of the product and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with the Technical Manager, Process Engineer, and Management Team.
• Provide project support for the Global Performance System (GPS) Pillars.
• Attend Production Meetings, Focused Improvement Meetings, and other GPS Meetings as necessary.
• Provide support for Certificates of Analysis and Customer Specifications.
• Scan production jobs for color accuracy via Color Cert.
• Maintain GPS KPIs/Loss charts and report findings to management.
• Utilize Global Vision system to inspect finished products.
• Provide support for defect detection and vision systems.
• Review vision system reports and provide feedback to management.
• Help design, implement, and maintain new quality systems.

• Currently pursuing a college degree, preferably related to Manufacturing or Operations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, adept with data analysis.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Based on the year of the student’s enrollment:

• Freshman: $15.50 per hour
• Sophomore: $16.25 per hour
• Junior: $18.00 per hour
• Senior: $19.50 per hour
