Essential Job Functions:

  • Adhere to health and safety policies, procedures, GMPs, and wear required PPE while working in the warehouse or production areas.
  • Adhere to food quality and safety standards (e.g., SQF) as defined by corporate, customers, or governing bodies.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications as outlined in SAP.
  • Perform analysis on raw materials, finished batches, treated water, and other items as programmed.
  • Conduct chemical and physical analyses on raw and intermediate processing materials and packaging to determine acceptability.
  • Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits of product and packaging integrity.
  • Check process control parameters to ensure proper equipment application and operation, performing required checks such as seals, closure torque, and seam checks.
  • Stop production if food safety is questionable and alert management immediately.
  • Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests, retests, and reports.
  • Perform analytical tests to qualify ingredient batches for production.
  • Perform production line checks at specified intervals.
  • Ensure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.
  • Report all out‑of‑spec results to designated leadership.
  • Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP.
  • Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM machines).
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to change.
  • High precision and accuracy in inspection and testing.
  • Familiarity with SQF, SAP, Six Sigma, GMP, and related standards.
  • Understanding of food safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand the metric system.
  • Food or beverage laboratory experience preferred.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old at co‑packaging alcoholic beverage plants.
Working Conditions:
  • Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight; overtime scheduled as needed.
  • Fast‑paced production plant with moving parts; noise requires hearing protection; temperatures may be hot or cold; laboratory is temperature controlled.
Travel Requirements:
  • 0% travel anticipated.
