We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential multifamily properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property management principles, landlord-tenant law, and fair housing regulations. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively manage relationships with tenants, vendors, and staff. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring that properties are well‑maintained, financially viable, and compliant with all legal requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the leasing process, including marketing available properties and conducting showings.
  • Ensure compliance with all landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Oversee property maintenance and coordinate repairs with vendors and contractors.
  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of property operations, including financial reports and tenant files.
  • Utilize property management software such as Appfolio for data entry and reporting.
  • Implement effective sales strategies to maximize occupancy rates and rental income.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors for services related to property maintenance and management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants while fostering positive relationships.
Skills
  • Proficiency in property management software (Appfolio).
  • Experience with legal administrative tasks related to real estate.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs.
  • Excellent conflict management skills to resolve tenant issues effectively.
  • Understanding of fair housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong negotiation skills for vendor contracts and tenant agreements.
  • Experience in facilities management and property maintenance oversight.
  • Proficient in data entry, filing systems, and general office administration tasks.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer relationship management abilities.
