Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on‑site position for a Sous Chef in Waco, TX. The Sous Chef will assist with daily kitchen operations, including menu preparation, food preparation, and maintaining proper food safety and hygiene standards. They will collaborate with the executive chef to ensure high-quality meals, oversee kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, monitor inventory levels, and assist with supply ordering.
The role involves maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace while fostering a positive team environment.
- Proficiency in food preparation, menu planning, and culinary techniques
- Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities
- Experience in inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control
- Adaptability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
- Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role is an advantage
