Retail Sales Associate - Part time

Position Overview

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are currently looking for the right Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms in FFL locations, and more.

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful candidate's pay will be based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer-literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
