Overview

The Part Time Sales Lead is an entry-level leadership role responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting sales performance, delivering customer experiences, and executing day-to-day store operations. This Sales Lead supports the Store Manager by following customer engagement strategies and maintaining merchandising standards that support a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Brand Experience/Customer Service: Uphold high retail standards to ensure an in-store experience aligned with company standards; initiate conversations with customers to learn interests and identify products to suggest; assist customers in the fitting room; recommend products aligned with customer needs through suggestive selling; promote the rewards program and help achieve loyalty sign-up goals; learn about new products and trends to improve customer engagement;

    consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to store performance; provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
  • Visual, Operation, and Safety: Maintain visual merchandising standards; keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked; assist in daily store operations including opening and closing, freight processing, accurate transactions, cash handling, and maintaining point-of-sale integrity; follow company and store policies and procedures; assign tasks to team members as directed; respond quickly to customer and employee injuries and report them to the Manager on Duty;

    participate in loss prevention activities and comply with policies to minimize shrink.
  • Leadership: Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of other leadership; communicate employee concerns to the Store Manager; assist with onboarding and training of new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, and store procedures; address customer concerns professionally in line with company guidelines.
Qualifications /

Job Requirements
  • Required: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience: Retail or customer-facing experience preferred but not required.
  • Schedule: Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs; minimum availability of 30 hours per week including one weekend day and rotating holidays; additional availability is a plus.
Essential Functions

  • Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Operate office equipment and technology (cash register, computers, phones, scanners, etc.).
  • Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts; assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; push/pull full racks for restocking.
  • Reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves and restock; arrange displays and maintain store layout as needed.
  • Vision to read labels and perform tasks requiring attention to detail; use fine manipulation to sort and organize clothing (e.g., hanging, folding, color/size ordering).
