Senior Meat Cutter

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills to provide customer service, remain flexible to business needs, track inventory, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of meat products, equipment usage, and back‑room operations. Provide meat to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) and ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and inventory standards. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate production, training, and quality decisions, adapt to new tools, and encourage others to adopt them.
• Drive business results, commit to operational excellence, plan for profitability, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensure quality for high‑volume products. Eliminate waste, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
• Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area and modeling high‑quality service and products. Execute fundamentals at the highest level of quality, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training them to perform related duties.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in business processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to successfully complete all required training and assessments within a prescribed period if hired.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing area.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances.
