Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Compensation

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

• Best working hours (9 AM to 6 PM; many stores closed on Sundays).

Entry‑level, part‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store staff to deliver customer service on both lending and retail sides. The associate greets, engages, and processes sales, loans, and other transactions with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (FFL locations).

Hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend services.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and display merchandise.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per established policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and loan transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the store or retrieve products from external storage.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willing to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8 % commission based on the gross profit of their performance. Details are provided during the interview.

Employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
