Your role
Our solutions are a key part of many industries, including electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production and infrastructure. You will work with the latest technologies and sustainable innovations as part of Atlas Copco Compressors LLC.
Compensation includes a base salary range of $65,000 to $78,000 with monthly commission, annual bonus structure and monthly auto allowance. Salary is based on knowledge, skills, and experience and has been geographically adjusted.
Responsibilities- Product Sales (80%):
Prospect, source, and maintain quality customers in the assigned area. Develop action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets, and markets; project the number of contacts to be made; and achieve and exceed sales goals. - Sell service products including service plans and fixed pricing repairs; overhauls; and related services to customers in the assigned area. Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity and telemarketing, as well as on lost opportunities.
- Establish rapport and maintain regular contact with existing and new customers (particularly key accounts). Respond promptly to customer inquiries. Introduce new products and service upgrades. Research solutions to customer problems. Coordinate prime equipment sales with Sales Managers.
- Support or develop local distributors when they exist. Engage in planned prospecting activities to increase the customer base and market share. Maintain customer base, sales activities, opportunities, quotations, and leads daily within the company systems. Uphold the highest standards of customer service across a service environment.
- Maintain a professional image and align with the company values of commitment, interaction, and innovation. Discuss terms and conditions as appropriate.
- Take necessary actions to complete tasks and establish communications with relevant people and employees to accomplish goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Personal Development (10%) – Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading, networking, and participating in professional organizations. Use the Business Portal for ongoing growth.
- Reporting (10%) – Prepare activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, and budget performance reports. Prepare monthly expense reports in a timely manner. Report on developments and feedback from field activity, including recommendations for product, service, pricing changes and competitive evaluations.
Contribute to positive company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image. All duties are performed in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while understanding customer needs and expectations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Experience – 3 years of relevant industrial sales experience required, preferably in the compressed air industry.
- Education – Four-year degree in business or marketing or equivalent work experience.
- Skills – Self-directed with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Travel required both day and overnight. Valid driver’s license.
