About the RoleWe’re currently seeking professional and motivated Loss Prevention Officers to join our team in the Kennewick / Tri-Cities area. This position plays a critical role in reducing retail shrinkage, identifying theft activity, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
This is a plain-clothed, in-store security position requiring strong observation skills, discretion, and professionalism. Officers work in coordination with store leadership and PPC management to detect theft, conduct lawful apprehensions, and support overall site safety. If you are observant, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with the public in a professional manner, this role offers a strong entry or advancement opportunity within PPC.
Duties & Responsibilities- Deter theft and reduce retail shrinkage through active surveillance and floor presence.
- Identify, apprehend, and process shoplifters in accordance with company policy and state law.
- Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create safety or security concerns.
- Maintain detailed and accurate incident documentation.
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow established post orders and company procedures at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by site leadership or operations management.
- This is a "Level 2" Unarmed position

- Ability to obtain Washington and Oregon State Security Licenses
. - At least 18 years of age
. - High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid State Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for the duration of scheduled shifts and physically restrain individuals when necessary.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work aflexible schedule.
- Clean background — no felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and criminal background screening.
- Previous Loss Prevention experience preferred.
- Wage: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (DOE).
