Plumber
The Plumber will oversee and perform complex plumbing tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of all campus plumbing systems.
Target Hiring Range: $57,542 - $63,296
Essential Functions- Core Values:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and water supply systems. - Safety and Compliance:
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards. - Building Access:
Enter occupied and unoccupied buildings with appropriate accompaniment. - Equipment Management:
Check out tools, equipment, and supplies as needed. - Vehicle Operation:
Operate state vehicles and equipment safely. - Communication and
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other departments to address facility needs while providing regular updates to the supervisor. - Physical Exertion:
Perform physically demanding tasks requiring strength and frequent moderate lifting (30‑60 lbs), often in awkward positions. - Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six years combined training in the electrician trade, or four years with an applicable license.
- Journeyman or Master license and applicable Class A‑D license(s).
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurability under TSTC Liability Policy.
Exertion:
Significant physical effort and strength required daily, often involving awkward postures and moderate lifting. Exposure:
Regular exposure to dust, grease, noise, inclement weather, and temperature extremes. Risk:
Occasional exposure to minor hazards controlled by safety precautions.
