HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician

Overview

As an HVAC/R Technician, you’ll deliver reliable, high‑quality service to commercial clients, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance.

Typical day:

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Perform routine and emergency service, including after‑hours on‑call rotations.
• Accurately document all service details using company‑provided iPads.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and delivery.
• Identify additional service opportunities and share them with customers.

Minimum Compensation: $25.00 per hour.

Maximum Compensation: $40.00 per hour.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician.
• May require a Journeyman’s License or state‑specific licenses.
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans.
• Basic comfort with mobile apps and technology.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.

This is a physically active role. You should be able to:

• Safely work at heights using ladders up to 28–32 feet.
• Lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks.
• Maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activity.
• Stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the day.
• Use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously.
• Operate work‑related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computers.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
• Occasionally work in an office environment.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures.
